Experienced Early Years Practitioner

Experienced Early Years Practitioner required, ideally Level 3 qualified but will consider Level 2 candidates willing to study for their Level 3.

25 hours per week in Term Time Only (39 weeks per year).

Rate of pay in line with the NLW £8.21/Hr or NMW £7.70/ Hr dependant on age

The nursery offers its services from 7am to 7pm so whilst this contract is for 25 hours per week candidates must be prepared to work flexible shift patterns as required to meet childcare demands

Experience of working with children in the birth to five age range

Knowledge of the key person approach

Experience of observing, assessing and planning for individual children

Knowledge and implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage

The ability to communicate well and work in partnership with children, parents staff members and outside agencies

The ability to work as part of a team

To have sound literacy skills

To have good organisational skills

To have a creative approach to play and learning

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £7.70 to £8.21 /hour

 

Kitchen Manager

The Kitchen Manager is required to work 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10am until 2pm
National Minimum / Living Wage applies.

Duties include:
Washing crockery and cutlery following breakfasts, snacks and lunch.
Heating food, checking it is cooked to the correct temperature before distributing to nursery rooms.
 
Recording temperatures onto record sheets, fridge, freezer and food.
Ensuring milk and food stock is appropriately rotated with due attention to use-by dates.

Cleaning and sterilizing food storage containers and surfaces.
Ensuring food in fridge and freezer is stored correctly.
Maintaining kitchen hygiene and records to ensure excellent food hygiene is maintained.

Advising nursery manager and staff of any actions required to maintain standards.

General cleaning, surfaces and floors.

Qualifications: A food preparation qualification is preferred and a Basic Food Hygiene certificate is suitable, training support will be given to the right candidate.
These duties are not exhaustive and may include any reasonable requests to ensure excellent hygiene standards are developed and maintained.
